Woodie Hanger
Woodie is a lightweight clothing hanger where a juxtaposition of materials are brought together to be balanced and harmonious. Aluminum creates a lightweight hanger, while the wood lends a warm touch point. Ends of the walnut dowels are rounded to maintain the hangers softness. The mixed materials and the angle of the two rods create a perfectly balanced structure. Woodie is the connecting piece between the owner and their beloved wardrobe. It creates a handsome experience to displaying your precious garments.
The aluminum rod is bent and anodized by a supplier. I cut the wood dowels and hand drill the through and blind holes. The custom molded plastic parts are used to sandwich the wood dowel to the anodized aluminum rod. Each hanger is hand assembled by the designer.
