Ubiolabs Aspect Design Family

Ubiolabs was growing as a company and more structure led to developing design families that we could sell to specific carriers. Aspect was the family I designed and developed which includes configurations of Wall Chargers, Cables, Wireless (Qi) Chargers, and Powerbanks. This family was sold at Costco and AT&T retail and online stores.

While at Ubiolabs I developed several other products in categories including mobile charging, vehicle jump starting, audio, electric bicycles, and supported work for the FLTR brand.

Powerbank Lantern

Walking through Costco with an eye for design, you begin to notice pallets of product that have potential to be displaced. I wanted to go after a lantern that used 8 C cell batteries and was marketed with the function to recharge your phone. It just seemed wrong to me.

This lantern has a 10k mAh rechargeable battery bank for endless illumination and the ability to recharge your devices. An IP65 rating and unique lighting features made it a stand out product.

Aspect Wireless Charger

Vehicle JumpStarter

This was another pallet at Costco the design team wanted to go after. There was an existing supplier who had held that pallet for years and I was hoping innovation would take over the existing reign. I created the idea of a charge sequence screen that also provided battery health information. The charge sequence was mainly for safety and to prevent accidental discharge. While the battery health monitor would provide enough information to someone to notify them that their battery or alternator is defective.

GEN 3 Bicycles

As a part of taking over other emerging markets at Costco, we set to explore electric assist bicycles. I was tasked with building each of the bicycles in CAD from 2D drawings.
